Ganesh Chaturthi is one such festival celebrated by everyone across India. As a part of the celebration, devotees welcome Bappa’s idol into their homes. The sculptor artist gives a filmy twist to Lord Ganesha's idol and makes them an avatar of Pushpa or KGF or in Ram Charan’s character from RRR. This Ganesh Chaturthi, there are several idols with late actor Puneeth Rajkumar along with Bappa.

There were several devotees spotted in Bangalore buying idols of lord Ganesha with Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar on the side of God. G=Fans found a special way to keep him alive in the memories. Fans went berserk seeing this innovative idol and even called it a ‘Puneeth Chaturthi’. One fan wrote, “Demi god of Karnataka” and another one wrote, “New Trend Started Everywhere Appu Ganesha Trendsetter For A Reason @PuneethRajkumar”,

There was even an idol made with the set up of KBC Kannada where the Kannada Star is a host and Lord Ganesha is a contestant.

For the unversed, Puneedth Rajkumar passed away on October 29, 2021, after suffering cardiac arrest. He was popularly known as ‘Powerstar’ for his power-packed performances in number or commercial hit Kannada films. He was not just an actor but also hosted shows like KBC Kannada and was a singer too. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

The legendary actor was also conferred with an honorary doctorate by the University of Mysore earlier this year posthumously. He will also be honored with Kannada Ratna on November 1, 2022, on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava, the state's formation day as announced by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in August.
