Kannada film producer and businessman Soundarya Jagadish has died after what police believe was an attempted suicide. The incident occurred on Sunday morning at his residence in Mahalakshmi Layout. Following the attempt, Jagadish was immediately rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death are ongoing.
Jagadish's friend Shreyas spoke to reporters and stated that the producer had no known health issues prior to the incident. Although there were rumors suggesting Jagadish might have faced financial challenges due to a recent bank notice, Shreyas denied that this was related to the death, describing the business issues as separate from the tragedy.
Contrary to earlier reports of a cardiac arrest, Shreyas confirmed that Jagadish attempted to end his life by hanging. The incident has prompted the police to conduct a thorough investigation to understand the reasons behind Jagadish's decision. Aside from his involvement in the film industry, Jagadish was also a builder and owned a pub in Bengaluru. His pub had recently faced controversy over late-night parties with film personalities and crew members, leading to a temporary suspension of its license.
