In a shocking turn of events, Popular Kannada actor Sampath J Ram took an extreme step of committing suicide. He was 35. The actor died at his residence in Nelamangala, Karnataka. As per reports, Sampath was battling depression due to a lack of good film offers. The actor is widely known for his performance in the show Agnisakshi. The news of Sampath’s tragic demise has sent shockwaves across the entire Kannada film industry.
Filmmaker Rajesh Dhruva, who directed Sampath in his film, took to his Facebook to mourn the sad demise of the actor. He wrote, “Hey son, we do not have the strength to bear your parting. So many movies are made, there is so much fighting to be done, and there is still plenty of time to make your dreams come true. Your avoided stage still has a lot to offer. Shut up and come back please.”

As reported by Times Of India, the actor was finding it hard to get good roles. A source was quoted saying, “Sampath was in depression as he was not getting offers as he expected which might forced him to take such an extreme step.” Sampath Jayaram's co-star Vijay Suriya is shocked to hear the news of his sudden demise and told Etimes that initially, he thought it was a prank. But, when he made a few calls to check about the news, he was left indeed shocked.



It is indeed shocking and sad news. I did not expect anything like this to happen in his life this soon. He was looking forward to good opportunities as an actor. He wanted to grow heights in his career and was very ambitious. Sampath was a very dear friend to me. I can’t believe that he has left us early,” Vijay stated.

Sampath J Ram’s mortal remains were kept at a private hospital and were later shifted to his hometown of NR Pura for the final rites. The late actor is survived by a wife to whom he got married just a year ago.
