Akhi has debuted in Bollywood with Luka Chuppi. He started his singing career in 2013 in song ‘Angrez Desi’.
His song "Khaab" was released in February 2016 and was very popular. The Hindi remake of the song was done in 2019 for the film Luka Chuppi which stars Kartik Aryan and Kriti Sanon.
Akhil even collaborated with music composer Manni Sandhu. He has released song ‘Life’ with Bollywood actress Adah Sharma.
