After Guru Randhawa, now Punjabi Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has also pledged to donate Rs 20 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES) to fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

Diljit took to his Twitter handle to share the news and in his post, he has mentioned that now the only priority is to help the nation. He tweeted “I'm committed to donating 20 Lakh rupees to the PM-CARES Fund. Our Priority Now should be to help our country get through this tough time. #TogetherWeCan”

Bollywood celebs, ministers, industrialists, etc all are donating to help the needy and most importantly to save the country from the current situations. The positive cases of Covid-19 are on the rise; however, healthcare staffs are trying their best to save lives.

The citizens of India are currently witnessing a 21 days lockdown, meanwhile, PM Modi announced about the relief fund. While announcing about the same on Saturday, the PM wrote on Twitter, “People from all walks of life expressed their desire to donate to India's war against COVID-19. Respecting that spirit, the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund has been constituted. This will go a long way in creating a healthier India."

The chairman of the trust is the honourable Prime Minister and other members include the finance minister, the defence minister and the home minister.
