On 67th National Film Award happened yesterday and it was quite a celebratory day for all the celebs from the film fraternity. The awards were supposed to held in 2020 but due to the pandemic, it got delayed and finally, in 2021 the elected movies and the cast achieved awards. Punjabi singer B Praak, who made an especial place in our hearts with his Punjabi and Hindi songs, won the Best Playback Singer award. He made it for the song ‘Teri Mitti’ from the movie ‘Kesari’ featuring Akshay Kumar.

For the unversed, ‘Teri Mitti’ was penned by Manoj Muntashir and composed by Arko Pravo Mukherjee. The movie ‘Kesari’ was based on the Battle of Saragarhi. Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army brought revolution and fought against 10,000 Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen in 1897. ‘Teri Mitti’ was made to portray the patriotism of those Sikh soldiers towards the nation
