Kailash Kher is truly one of the most sought-after musicians in the country. He enjoys a huge fanbase and he continues to leave everyone mesmerised with his golden voice. Having made his debut in the music industry in 2004, he became a household name because of his hit songs and melodious voice. However, there was a time in his life when she battled depression and attempted to take his own life by jumping into the river Ganga. 

In an old interview, the 50-year-old music composer and singer opened up about the dark phase of his life and how he felt like a constant failure. He revealed that he had started doubting himself, which made him feel like he did not want to live anymore. Frustrated by everything he did to earn money turning into a failure, he wanted to end his life once and for all. It is to be noted that this was before he made his debut in the music industry. Kher had gone to Rishikesh to become a ‘pandit,’ but even there he started feeling out of place. Recalling how a kind gentleman jumped in after him in Ganga, to save his life, Kailash shared that experience made him value his life even more. He shared, “A person at the ghat jumped in the Ganga immediately and saved me. For the unversed, Kailash Kher went on to become one of the most beloved singers in India. His hit songs Allah Ke Bande, Teri Deewani, Saiyyan, Yuhi Chala Chal Rahi, Arziyan, and Ya Rabba among many others are till date fan favourites that leave the listeners teary-eyed. Along with many other known celebrities from the Indian entertainment industry, he too attended Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony, where he sang Bhajans and songs with Sonu Nigam.
