Bollywood singer Neha Kakkar has garnered a huge fan following over the years, for her beautiful romantic tracks and party songs. She often leaves her netizens gushing because of her mushy posts with her husband Rohanpreet Singh. Having tied the knot in 2020, it was heavily rumoured a few weeks ago that the couple was facing issues in their marriage. She quashed the rumours with a lovey-dovey post. Now, Neha talking about how Rohanpreet had once rejected her marriage proposal has gone viral.
Neha and Rohanpreet had appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show where they had shared unknown details about their relationship. Recalling how they met, the singer shared that they were introduced to each other in Chandigarh in August 2020, during the shoot of her music video Nehu Da Vyah, which was written and composed by her. Their friendship grew day-by-day and one day Neha asked if wanted to get married. However, he rejected the proposal as he was 25-years-old at the time. He didn’t want to get married at such an early age. After the incident they stopped talking to each other, but it seems like destiny had other plans. ALSO READ: THROWBACK! The 35-year-old singer recalled that Rohanpreet had drunk-dialed her and confessed his love for her. She also went ahead and told him that she can’t live without him so “let's get married.” Neha took it as a joke since she thought Rohanpreet would not remember their conversation the next day. Talking about the same, she had said on The Kapil Sharma Show, “Inhone 2-3 beer chadhayi hui thi. Maine socha, beer chadhayi hui hai, chhodo, subah bhool jayenge.”
Shedding light on what had happened, Neha shared that Rohanpreet had flown to Chandigarh, where she was shooting, the very next day as he was serious about getting married to her. Recalling the incident, the singer shared, “Yeh kehte hai, ‘Nehu, kal ki baat yaad hai na?’ Maine kaha, ‘Pee thi aapne, mujhe kyun nahi yaad rahegi?’” and the rest is history. They have been painting the town red with their love ever since they tied the knot.
