And now, SpotboyE has it - straight from the horse's mouth - that she is gearing up for her movie debut as well.
Says Khushali, "It's too early to talk about the film, as we are yet to finalise the details. But yes, I'm involved with the writers and work is progressing. My brother is very possessive about both his sisters - Tulsi (Kumar) and me, but he's okay my decision because he respects the fact that I'm turning my passion into my profession."
Khushali, a fashion designer, recalls how, even as a child, she would enact scenes from her father Gulshan Kumar's films. "My father had enrolled Tulsi and me into a music school, but my sister was the only one who took it seriously. I attended for a day and quit," she says, adding, "Everyone at home called me a drama queen. So, this decision to enter films hasn't come as a surprise to my family."
Coming back to her new single, it's a reinvented version of the Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin hit from the 1990s. Tulsi has also lent her voice to the number, which was originally sung by Anuradha Paudwal.
