Digital transactions - transactions in which the customer authorizes the transfer of money through electronic means, have brought about changes in the way we live. While digital payments are efficient convenient and secure, it also makes people a little vulnerable by making them susceptible to hacking and identity theft. In the last few years, we have seen a lot of people falling prey to cyber scams. Amid the rising number of cyber scams, the Reserve Bank of India has issued cautionary advice, in the form of an entertaining rap song by Viruss, explaining how people can protect themselves from cyber-crimes and identity theft!

The upbeat rap song by Viruss, explains the do’s and don’ts for safe digital transactions to ensure that people exercise a little caution when it comes to transacting online. The catchy rap song stresses the importance of staying alert at all times while urging people not to fall prey to scammers and not to share their bank account details with anyone.  Through the song, RBI also conveyed that customers should not share their One Time Password (OTP), UPI PIN, or other bank details with anyone. Neither should people fall prey to online KYC updation and Card Disable frauds from callers posing as bank officials.


Singer and rapper Viruss is popular for several hit songs such as Radio with Brown gal’, ‘King Kaazi’, ‘Bam Bhole 2’, ‘Bam Bhole 3’,’ I'm Rising’, ‘Na Na Na’ and many more. His original rap Bam Bhole, which was released three years ago, was recreated by the singer for Akshay Kumar- Kiara Advani starrer Laxmii.
