Rapper Raftaar seems
to be on cloud nine these days. His song Dhaakad from the Aamir Khan starrer
Dangal is a hit and 2017 too looks set to be a good year for him with plum
projects landing in his lap.
We had earlier told you that the rapper has
been roped in by the Mozart of Madras AR Rahman for a song in the
film Saat which is produced by Anil Kapoor.(AR Rahman Ropes In Raftaar For Anil Kapoor's Saath, Dec 20 2016).
Now, buzz is, the
producers of Fukrey 2 have got Raftaar onboard for a song in the movie.
A source told us that
the producers wanted a voice which would suit the irreverent mood of the song
and get the Delhi-lingo right. And everyone agreed that Raftaar was the
right option.
“The recording of the
song happened a few days ago in Mumbai. The song is based on
friendships. Raftaar had come down especially from Delhi to dub the
song and the producers are extremely happy with the outcome of the track,”
added the source.
The 2013 film starring
Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal had a well received soundtrack which
included the hit number Ambarsariya.
The sequel went on the
floors in November this year. Prior to Raftaar, Swagger composer Tanishk Bagchi
had been roped in for a couple of songs in the film, which he has already
started working on.
The sequel of the film
features Richa Chadha, Manjot Singh, Vishakha Singh, Priya Anand and Varun
Sharma along with Pulkit Samrat in the lead roles and will be directed by
Mrigdeep Singh Lamba.
