Legendary guitarist, songwriter, singer, musician Eddie Van Halen passed away at the age of 65 after his long battle against cancer on October 6, 2020. This heartbreaking news was broken to the world by his son Wolf Van Halen via his Twitter post. Pouring his heart out he was deeply saddened with his father's death and spoke about how he won’t be able to recover from this loss ever in his life. He also shared a picture of his late father along with this tweet, where he was seen laughing while he got clicked.
Wolf wrote in his note breaking the news to the world read, “I can’t believe I’m having to write this, but my father, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning.” He further added Eddie Van Halen being the best father, and every moment he spent with him was indeed a gift. He further wrote in his note, “He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift. My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss. I love you so much, Pop.”
Besides the celebs in the west mourning and paying their condolences to the grieving family, filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar too paid his tribute to the legend.
