Kedarnath makers
have released the second song from the film and it is called Sweetheart. It’s a
dance number and the lead pair Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan are seen
dancing to their heart’s content. It is a fun song amidst the backdrop of
a mehendi function and Sara looks pretty in a yellow salwar kameez,
while Sushant is dressed in a pathani kurta and salwar.
Director Abhishek
Kapoor dropped the song on his Twitter page. He tweeted, "Shaahi joda
pehen ke, Aayi jo banthan ke, Vahi toh meri #Sweetheart hai.. Out now @itsSSR
#SaraAliKhan @RonnieScrewvala @pragyadav_ @RSVPMovies @gitspictures
@ItsAmitTrivedi @OfficialAMITABH @DevNegiLive @ZeeMusicCompany #Kedarnath (sic)."
Check out the song right here:
The track has
been sung by Dev Negi and composed by Amit Trivedi. The lyrics are by Amitabh
Bhattacharya. The duo seems to be having a gala time dancing together. Sara’s
screen presence is pretty strong, whereas Sushant is proudly displaying his
dance skills.
Speaking of the
movie, it was initially supposed to release in June 2018, but hit several
roadblocks. Now, it will finally hit theatres on December 7, this year. The
film is set against the backdrop of the floods which created havoc in Kedarnath
in June 2013. A few days back, the first song titled Namo Namo was released, so
this is the second number.
Kedarnath was
also embroiled in a controversy as the teerth purohits (priests) of the shrine
town of Kedarnath in Uttarakhand’s Chardham have been protesting against the
film saying that a ban should be imposed on the movie, as it hurts religious
sentiments. The movie is also facing flak for promoting love jihaad. Inspite of
being riddled in various controversies, the makers are hopeful that the movie
will release on the scheduled date.
