Bollywood rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, on Thursday, made the headlines for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting the owner of an event management company, Vivek Raman. It was reported that the complainant had filed an FIR against the musician and his accomplices at the BKC police station in Mumbai. A few hours later, Singh took to his official social media handles to dismiss the allegations against him.
The 40-year-old rapper-singer goes on to state that all the allegations against him are false and “ an attempt to tarnish my image.” His legal team has been working to file a defamation case against the miscreants.
Here’s his post:
For the unversed, Raman had accused Singh of kidnapping him, holding him captive and assaulting him after he had cancelled Yo Yo Honey Singh's Festivina programme on April 15th after facing issues with money transactions. It was reported that angered by the cancellation of his program, Honey and a few of his associates kidnapped Vivek and held him captive at a hotel in Sahar, Mumbai.
On the work front, Honey is currently busy churning out his new album after being inactive for the last few years. He had made the headlines recently when he released the remixed version of Urmila Mantondkar’s iconic song Yai Re from the film Rangeela (1990). He featured in the song alongside Iulia Vantur. He will also be seen in a documentary based on his life which will be directed by Guneet Monga and streamed on Netflix later in 2023.
