Renowned musician Arijit Singh is touted as one of the biggest playback singers in the Indian music industry. He has been leaving the audience mesmerised with his beautiful and soul-melting voice. Singh has been hosting musical concerts for quite some time now and the glimpses of the same often go viral on social media. Recently another one of the videos from his Dubai concert surfaced on the internet which left a section of the internet disgusted. Shared by a fan page, he was spotted trimming his nails in front of the audience.
A fan page by the name ‘@believeinarijit’ took to Instagram to share a video of the musician cutting his nails on the stage during his live concert in Dubai. While fans lauded the singer for being down-to-earth and open with the audience by trimming his nails during his performance, a section of netizens were left miffed. Many pointed out how he was disrespecting the stage he was performing on by being unhygienic. Some offered explanations on behalf of Arijit, stating that he trimmed his nails as he was finding it difficult to strum the guitar. One wrote, “Highly unprofessionalism. This is not justified. If he is having problem in playing the guitar he should have done this backstage. While performing doing this sort of nuisance is not accepted.” Another wrote, “Thats gross and ill mannered.” Other one wrote, “Go backstage, do it come back! It is to be noted that, Arijit Singh is yet to issue an official statement on the incident. The 37-year-old musician recently made the headlines when he failed to recognise Mahira Khan at one of his international concerts. He stopped his concert mid-way to apologise to her, which left her blushing. He was heard saying, “Ladies and gentlemen Mahira Khan sitting right in front of me. Think about I was singing her song Zaalima and it’s her song, and she was singing and standing and I couldn’t recognise her. I am so sorry. Maam gratitude and thank you so much.”
