9XM Indiefest with SpotlampE Originals has come up with a new heart touching song, crooned by none other than singer turned politician Babul Supriyo in his melodious voice. Titled Shayera, the romantic song is set to tug your heartstrings. Ahead of the festive season, 5 original tracks sung by top Bollywood singers like Shreya Ghoshal, Babul Supriyo, Amit Mishra, Ankit Tiwari and Bhoomi Trivedi will be released and we must say we are all excited. After Shreya Ghoshal’s Jab Jab Navratre Aave, 9XM Indiefest with SpotlampE Originals dropped new track Shayera.
The lyrics of the song go, "Joothasa yeh jahan, na mera kuch yahan. Aayi tu rubaroo, toh paya sab yahan. Zara zara ishq baazi ho, teri meri aadhi aadhi ho. Labzo ki saude baazi ho, shayar tune mujhe bhi bana daiya..Shayera” Recently, SpotboyE got in touch with Babul Supriya where he spoke his heart out about his love for music and songs crooned by legendary Kishore Kumar. Speaking about SpotlampE’s original song, Shayera. He told our host Manish Batavia, “I wanted to do a song for quite some time now. Three young boys from Pritam’s institute composed the song and a very unknown lyricist came up with such lyrics that I was looking at. The name of the song Shayera is the name of the girl and Shayera in itself is a musical name.”
Babul also spoke about his childhood, Durga Pujo in Kolkata, Hum Tum song, college days, friends, and many other things. During the conversation, he went on to reveal the time he was scolded by his grandfather while teaching music. He added that his daughter is also learning music from his father Sunil Chandra Baral.
