The popular music composer duo Jatin-Lalit who gave us some memorable numbers through films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Yess Boss, Kuck Kuch Hota Hai, decided to part ways in 2006, leaving the industry in total disbelief. Their last collaboration was for the Aamir Khan-Kajol starrer Fanaa.
Now, after 14 years, there's a ray of hope that we might see them collaborating on Bollywood films. On Saturday, all roads will lead to Shanmukhananda Hall at King Circle where they have a full night program, an evening of music. From Shaan to Udit Narayan, all the big singers will be attendance. It’s going to be a sell-out crowd.
So we caught up with Jatin-Lalit this afternoon at Ajivasan Hall in Santacruz where they were going through the final rehearsals. We were transported into that era where music was melody. We sat through with them for a few songs and were thrilled to bits. The two haven't lost their touch even a wee bit and it was very heartwarming to see the 2 brothers being in sync so much even after more than one and half decade.

Lalit's wife Neena was also present. They sat down for an exclusive video interview with us, which we shall bring you tomorrow. So for now, the news is that Jatin and Lalit are open to getting back together in a Bollywood film. Both said that they have put the past behind them. "No grudges. We are looking at the future positively," Jatin added. The show was produced by Lalit Pandit's wife, Neena. Filmmakers, what are you waiting for? Call this evergeen duo immediately and for Pete's sake, get lilting tunes once again into our ears.
