Being the first Indian to perform at the renowned Wembley Stadium in London to giving the Indian music industry some of its biggest hits – Himesh Reshammiya rose to fame as an immensely talented singer, performer and music composer. But as a composer – he strongly feels that music creators need to have a face and identity of their own, not just through the talent they create songs for. The hit-maker is all set to feature in the 10th episode of Times of Music, an MX Original series which celebrates Indian music in the most unique way. In a candid conversation, Himesh shared his excitement over the same.

Upon being asked what made him give a nod to this one, Himesh said, "The concept itself, the way the show was designed and the artists featuring in it and the way the candid conversations have been designed, the way the recreation, the way it's going to be shot. The whole concept of Times Of Music was very interesting which got me really, you know, very, very excited to do the show." Sharing his two cents on recreating Rajesh Roshan's Chookar Mere Man Ko, he added, "When I decided to do Rajesh (Roshan) Ji's Chookar Mere Man Ko, the recreation, see, for me, I feel, this is one of his bests though he has so many blockbuster songs to his list, my personal favourite and the emotional connect which I share with my brother, who is no more. During my childhood days, I used to connect to this song and even he really liked this song. So, there was this connect where Chookar Mere Man Ko had an emotional impact on me in my childhood years and that has completely you know got me motivated to do this recreation by adding this phrase of Tere Naam Se Hai Jeevan Mera to this iconic Chookar Mere Man Ko, which I feel is Rajesh Ji's all-time best."

"The experience of interacting with Rajesh Ji, working on his melody, singing in front of the crowd and performing in front of Rajesh Ji and him giving me this beautiful compliment that he just loved the song and the melody and just wanted it never to end was a very big compliment and it was a great experience for me and the candid conversations that we had with Vishal, Rajesh Ji about music and the future of music. And the way the whole package and the concept of the show the way it was moving on is an experience I'll always cherish," continued Himesh.
