Motion poster of Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming film ‘Baba’ is out. Tanu weds Manu fame, Deepak Dobariyal, will be seen in the lead role in this movie. The first song of the movie ‘Adgula Madgula’ has already become the talk of the town.
Since we that actor, poet and lyricist, Spruha and Abhijeet will be seen together first time on the big screen, ‘Baba’ has raised everyone’s expectations. The film is set to release on 2nd August.
Spruha, last seen in Home Sweet Home (2018), is known for her theatre performance, light comedy and romantic appearances like ‘Welcome Home’, ‘Lost and Found’ and ‘& Jara Hatke’. She plays the role of a woman who has been through a lot during her young age. Her character in ‘Baba’ is intense and has multiple shades to it.
Spruha is paired with Abhijeet Khandkekar, the heart throb of Marathi TV and film industry after hits like Mi pan Sachin (2019) and Bhaay, (2018) in ‘Baba’. Abhijeet who is also a household name due to his television character, ‘Gurunath Subhedar’ in ‘Majhya Navrya Chi Bayko’, plays Spruha’s husband.
Director Raj Gupta narrates an interesting story of a speech-impaired innocent little boy, living with his parents in a small village. He weaves together all the characters together in a beautiful screenplay that sends a powerful message to the audience, that ‘Feelings have no language’.
Sanjay Dutt and his wife Maanayata Dutt, are the film's is co-producers. Sanjay Dutt wants to dedicate his first venture in regional films to his father, hence the title ‘Baba’. The film will be released under the banner Sanjay S Dutt Productions, with Blue Mustang Creations' Ashok Subhedar and Aarti Subhedar. Blue Mustang Creations had earlier also produced the Marathi film Bucket List starring Madhuri Dixit.
