Marathi actress Kranti Redkar-Wankhede left her admirers worried when she took to her official social media handles to share that she has been receiving derogatory messages and death threats from various numbers in Pakistan. The actress is married to former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede. As reported by the Free Press Journal, she filed a formal complaint with the Goregaon police station. A First Information Report (FIR) has not yet been filed.
As per the 41-year-old actress’ complaint, she received a call from a UK-based number on March 6, at 10: 49 am. The unidentified called verbally abused her and even issued death threats to her and her family. On the same day, she received multiple messages from a Pakistani phone number. The messages contained derogatory and character-sabotaging content. According to the media publication, the messages also included an Aadhaar Card of Iqbal Hussain from Assam.

She went on to share screenshots of the entire incident on her official X handle. She wrote, “I have been receiving death threats on my mobile number from various Pakistani numbers and a number from the Uk. Just wanted to bring it to your kind notice. This has been happening since last one year. The police has been regularly informed.”
Through her complaint, Kranti also expressed he deep concern, as a woman. She emphasised that she had never encountered such a humiliating incident and requested the officials to investigate the matter urgently. Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-11, Anand Bhoit stated, “We received an application. We will inquire about it and then take further action.”
