Paani: Adinath Kothare At The NFAI For The Screening Of His National Award Winning Film

The National Film Archive Of India is screening Paani as a part of 'Film Appreciation Course'

After winning the Best Film on Environmental Issues/ Awareness award in National Film Awards 2019, 'Paani', a Marathi film directed by Adinath Kothare and produced by Priyanka Chopra, is selected for 'Film Appreciation Course' screening in The National Film Archive Of India. This film was also screened at the New York Film Festival in the United States of America.

Adinath Kothare was at the screening session of the film at NFAI to answer questions about the film. He shared the proud moment on Instagram with his fans and followers.


Based on raising awareness on the issue of water conservation, Paani is a Marathi movie that deals with the story of Nagderwadi, a village in Nanded. A local villager from the town, works hard to make water available for their village. As a result of his sweat and pursuit, the village is also now able to supply water to the surrounding villages.

This is Priyanka Chopra’s second Marathi film production after Ventilator. This film stars Subodh Bhave and Kishor Kadam in the lead roles.
