Marathi actress Pooja Zunjar (25) is no more. She was pregnant and she passed away during the time of delivery. Even her newborn breathed his last within a few minutes of delivery. Reportedly, she passed away because of a lack of availability of ambulance. She gave birth on Sunday morning in the Hingoli district which is 600 kilometers away from Mumbai. She was first admitted to Primary Heath centre in Goregaon at around 2 am on Sunday where her family was advised to shift her to Hingoli Civil Hospital.
As per reports, her family struggled to find an ambulance for her. Somehow they managed to book a private ambulance, however, she breathed her last on her way to the hospital. In this case, an official said, "The doctors at the primary health centre then advised Ms Zunjar's family members to shift her to the Hingoli civil hospital, which is around 40 km from Goregaon. Her panicked family members struggled to find an ambulance," as reported by NDTV. "They somehow managed to get a private ambulance but she died during the journey," further said the official.
Her relatives have claimed that if the ambulance was available and helped Pooja reach the Hingoli Civil Hospital on time, she would have been alive. More updates on the case are still awaited.
Pooja Zunjar had appeared in two Marathi films and then she took a break from acting to concentrate on her pregnancy.
