The COVID-19 global pandemic that started last December is spreading rapidly across the globe. The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has declared a nationwide lockdown for 21 days. This has led to a complete shut down for the entertainment industry. All shoots have been suspended and junior actors and technicians are at a loss of assignments. This has impacted adversely on the daily wage earners who work from paycheck-to-paycheck.

Subodh Bhave was always known as a person who cares deeply for every sector of society. How can he forget about the film technicians and artists? The actor has given details of a social body that collects funds and donations in cash and kind for the film technicians and artists. They may be working on films, series, or for play, these technicians and artists will be taken care of.

While the government is taking proactive steps in beating the virus, the entertainment industry is taking up the responsibility to look after the people within their fraternity.

After Subodh Bhave, Sukanya Mone, Kushal Badrike, and Abhijeet Khandkekar appeal fans to contribute to the artist’s welfare fund and join the league. Each of them appealed to their respective fans and followers to raise funds for these artists and help them tackle the crisis.
