Netflix to host a horror web series, ‘Betaal’, produced by Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, directed by ‘Ghoul’ director Patrick Graham and Nikhil Mahajan. ‘Betaal’ is Graham’s second project in the horror genre where he has casted a Marathi actor, first being ‘Ghoul’ for Netflix, where Radhika Apte was the female lead.
Jitendra Joshi will be playing one of the prominent roles in the series where Vineet Kumar Singh and Aahana Kumra will also be a part of the cast. This story revolves around a century-old British Indian Army officer and his army of zombie redcoats breaking loose of Indian police in remote India.
Recently seen in movies like Sumitra Bhave’s ‘Welcome Home’, ‘Mauli’ and ‘Ventilator’, Jitendra Joshi, is Marathi’s hero, anti-hero, comedian and action hero all-in-one. Jitendra’s performance in this new horror series will be another feather in his hat. He recently shared the poster for ‘Betaal’ on his Instagram, where he expressed his excitement about this project and shared the joy of working with Nikhil Mahajan.
