Santosh Juvekar who is known for his brilliant performance in Chatrapati Shasan, Gadbad Gondhal, Rege, Biker's Adda, and many more films is all set to light up the screen with his magnificent acting skills in his upcoming digital film 'Bhonsle' which is currently streaming on SonyLiv.
He will be seen portraying the character named Vilas Dhavle, an antagonist who is a regular cab driver by night and an aspiring Maratha Politician by day; whose ultimate motive is to make Maharashtra Outsider-free. His undying pride of being a hardcore Mumbaikar and his quest to eradicate outsiders from Maharashtra lands him in trouble.
Manoj Bajpayee will be seen playing the central character 'Ganpat Bhonsle', a retiring Marathi Police Officer who stands true to his principles, wisdom and serves his duty with honesty. From the look and feel of the character, it could be seen that the audience will get the same essence of the character played by him in Aligarh. Abhishek Banerjee, who was last seen in Amazon Prime's 'Paatal Lok' as the famous Hathoda Tyagi will essay the role of Rajendra; a Bihar descendant surviving and struggling on a daily basis to fight for his place in the society. Ipshita Chakraborty Singh, Virat Vaibhav, Rajendra Sisadkar, Neetu Pande, and many more will be seen playing the pivotal roles in the film.
The film is written and directed by Devashish Makhija who is known for his work Oonga, Taandav, and his critically acclaimed film Ajji. Apparently, it is said that it took three years for the film to release.
