Addinath Kothare humbly accepted The 66th National Film Awards for the ‘Best Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation award’ for his directorial debut ‘Paani’, at Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu. Along with many winners like Akshay Kumar, Ayushmaan Khurana, and Vicky Kaushal, Addinath Kothare was the torchbearer of the Marathi film industry’s talent. 

Dressed in a royal black sherwani with asymmetrical cuts, Addinath is standing outside the Rashtrapati Bhavan in his recent post on Instagram. Styled by Trushala Nayak, Addinath is wearing the outfit by NM Design Studio. 

Addinath is making Marathi film industry proud with this achievement. Suyash Tilak, Jatin Sarna, Amruta Khanvilkar, Tejashree Jadhav and many more peers have congratulated Addinath on his Instagram post. 



Getting this award was a moment of pride for his team as well as the cause they are supporting. Co-produced by Priyanka Chopra under Purple Pebble creations, ‘Paani’ is a story that revolves around a man living in a village named Nagdarwadi, Maharashtra, a drought-prone Marathwada region.

The story od ‘Paani’ tells us how the protagonist struggles with water shortage and suffers from the lack of sufficient infrastructure. It stars Addinath Kothare, Subodh Bhave, Rucha Vaidya, Kishor Kadam, and Rajit Kapoor, etc. 

The film is all set to make a blockbuster release in 2020 after being recognized worldwide for its excellence, ‘Paani’ is expected to rock box office next year!
