A simple, middle-class girl, Isha Nimkar from ‘Tula Pahate Re’ played by Gayatri Datar, touched the hearts of many Marathi families and became a part of their lives. After running for about a year, this show has gone off-air, early this week, leaving Gayatri’s fans wondering when will they get to see her next.
As per report from a leading newspaper, Gayatri Datar is now venturing into theatre drama with Rahul Bhandare’s ‘Nimma Shimma Rakshas’. It is a children’s play written by famous Marathi author Ratnakar Matkari, which will be directed by Chinmay Mandlekar under the banner of Advait Theatres.
Gayatri will be seen playing the lead role in this play along with Ankur Vadhve and Mayuresh Pem. Three songs from this play are written by Chinmay Mandlekar, for which the music has been given by Mayuresh Madgavkar and they are sung by Jasraj Joshi. Rehearsals for this play are going on in full swing and its shows will go live from the first week of August, this year.
