His next film Balak Palak set Ravi Jadhav apart and put him in the A-lister filmmakers of M-town.
In 2014, Ravi Jadhav touched the tender concept of ‘first love’ the kind that happens irrespective of education, family, and socioeconomic status. Ravi presented a love story that crosses the barriers of society, parents, and financial status. The movie was made within a budget of Rs 2 crore and posted collections of Rs 32 crore. The success of this film and the craze it created in the youth still is a fresh memory. The film actually completed six years today and Ravi Jadhav shared the nostalgia on his Instagram.
Ravi Jadhav writes, “Celebrating 6th year of Timepass”. He wrote a long passage thanking the cast and crew members and supportive members of the extended family, film fraternity and artists.
‘Timepass’, is a story of Dagdu played by Prathamesh Parab is a rickshaw driver’s son, who has yet again failed in SSC exams and is delivering newspapers to make some money. Dagdu meets his Prajakta played by Ketaki Mategaonkar his arch enemy’s daughter. 80s Bollywood type love-story, the societal angle to it, the ability to tell a compelling story and the stylized, distinctive filmmaking is Ravi Jadhav’s directorial masterpiece. Many filmmakers shared the milestone of year’s completed in the year 2020. ‘Timepass’ has been one nostalgic memory.
