Actor, director, writer, singer, anchor and poet; multi-talented Prasad Oak will be seen in the film ‘Smile Please’, releasing tomorrow, 19th July. Having established himself as an actor in TV and film Industry, Prasad Oak has also made his debut in direction with Kaccha Limbu that received 2 Filmfare Awards.
Prasad Oak began his career with theatre. 'Premachi Goshta' was his first play. He has worked in over 80 television serials like ‘Bandhini’ and ‘Avghachi Ha Sausar’. He participated in ‘Dhinka Chika’ reality show as a judge and hosted 500 episodes of ‘Bhanda Saukhya Bhare’. He was recently seen in films like ‘Ani… Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar’,‘Shikari’, ‘7 Roshan Villa’ and has been repeatedly proving himself to the Marathi audiences, his love for the art.
A fact not known to many is that Prasad Oak has announced the launch of his brand new production house, ‘POV Creation (A Prasad Oak Vision)’ on his Twitter handle late last month. The owner of this production house is his wife Manjiri Oak, whom Prasad considers his closest friend, critic and guide.
A mature actor with an in-depth understanding of this art, Prasad Oak is also a sensitive director. It will be interesting to find out what kind of films will be produced under his banner and how they will perform at the box office.
