‘Sairat’ director Nagraj Manjule joins hands with Bollywood’s biggest superstar Amitabh Bachchan for his next film ‘Jhund’. Now, first look and the teaser of the film is out and fans already declare it a contender for a National Award!
The director who has made Marathi film industry proud with films like ‘Sairat’, ‘Naal’, and ‘Fandry’, is now setting his foot in the Hindi cinema with the biggest and the best star there is. While the poster shared recently gives us a glimpse into Amitabh Bachchan’s character, this teaser gives a sneak-peek into his ‘Jhund’.
Big B Tweeted the poster and the teaser on his twitter handle to share the excitement that his ‘Jhund’ is coming soon to silver screens. The film is inspired by Vijay Barse’s slum soccer initiative. A film that depicts the ground reality of the youth in slums is about to be presented on the silver screens, and Sr. Bachchan is proud to be a part of it.
At the beginning of the teaser, Amitabh says, "Jhund nahi kahiye sir team kahiye...Team." The background score, given by Ajay Atul, is wild, energetic and inspires you to get on your feet and get moving! Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni & Meenu Aroraa, this film will be released on 8th May 2020 under the banner of T-Series, Tandav Film Entertainment & Aatpat.
This is Amitabh Bachchan’s second link with Marathi talent in recent times. He was recently a part of Vikram Gokhale and Sayali Sanjeev starrer Marathi film ‘AB Aani CD’.
