But let us tell you it’s a team of hundreds who make them look like a dream. Right from costume designers to makeup artistes to hairstylists the list is endless. Just like you and I, there are n number of girls who either want to nail perfect winged-eyeliner look or new hairstyles just like their favourite diva. Deepika Padukone’s makeup artist Sandhya Shekar, in her latest chat with Vogue, spells out the way you can nail the perfect eyeliners flick just like the actress does at various events.

Giving a tip for beginners, Sandhya told Vogue, “For beginners, I would recommend drawing a simple, natural eyeliner with a pencil or liquid eyeliner, if you are comfortable. Don't worry about fancy shapes or winging it out; just start following the shape of your eyelid from the inner corner to the outer corner. Once you've developed a certain level of comfort with eyeliner and have mastered the art of a steady hand, you can level up by taking on the classic winged eye.”

She further revealed how to ace the perfect winged eyeliner, “First draw the angular wing on both sides, and then shut one of the eyes to connect the wings to the lash line, before repeating the same on the other side. For experienced players, I believe it is essential to keep innovating and experimenting with shapes. Even something as simple as a winged eyeliner can offer a lot of variations—whether it is the natural shape, the vintage style or a really exaggerated one that takes the wing all the way up. Once your hands get steady, your options are limitless—so remember to play with shapes and have fun.”

She then added that the most common mistakes people make that they don't go very close to the lash line. People then to draw a perfect liner over the lids, but if they forget to tightline, there may be a certain area of skin visible between the lashes. “As a rule of thumb, once you've applied the eyeliner, do a quick check and remember to tight line for a flawless finish,” she added.
