Its time to welcome festival of colours Holi, any many delicious dishes. Holi is a festival.of colours and delicacies, there is also a trend of having thandai, on the festival. There is no better way than to start the festivities with a glass of refreshing, homemade thandai.
Recently bollywood actress shilpa shetty took to her instagram account to share the reciepe of thandai. You must take a look at Shilpa Shetty‘s flavourful twist to the traditional recipe. Ditching the regular milk with sugar and almond for healthier options, Shetty shared a recipe of Healthy Almond Thandai on Instagram.
While highlighting how khus khus helps in relaxing tired muscles, Shetty went on to the reciepe, made of almond and maple syrup.

Recipe of Healthy Almond Milk Thandai by Shilpa Shetty
What all you need
1tbsp – Khus Khus
1tbsp – Melon seeds
1tbsp – Sunflower seeds
2tsp – Saunf or fennel seeds
2-3no – Peppercorns
1/4tsp – Nutmeg powder
1/4tsp – Cardamom powder
2-3tbsp – Pistachios powder
800ml – Almond milk
7-8 strands – Saffron
6-8tbsp – Maple syrup as per taste
Garnish
Dried rose petals
Edible flowers
Method to prepare delicious Almond thandai
*Blend all the ingredients together.
*Keep the almond milk to boil and add in the prepared mixture.
*Add saffron.
*Cook until the milk is slightly thicker.
*Cool the mixture down and refrigerate it.
*Remove the mixture from the refrigerator and add maple syrup. You can also add honey.
*Pour thandai into serving glasses and garnish.
