Celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar recently in an interview with leading portal India Today spoke about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle during COVID-19 outbreak. In an interview Rujuta explained that people must include traditional superfoods in their diet and she also suggested few drinks with the medicinal property as a diet in corona.

Rujuta said that, ghee is important also important for our body as it contains several vitamins and is beneficial for our immune system.

Sharing the healthy drinks, Rujuta stressed on the importance of exercising at home amid this hard time and said that "workout is something that we owe ourselves".

Few drinks which Rujuta suggested are:

Rujuta said, Haldi doodh is traditionally used in every home when they feel little down. Termuric or haldi has an anti-bacterial properties, and though if you are feeling down you can have it, try to have it at night.

Next what Rujuta focused was, homemade sharbat, she said that home made sharbats are great in terms of healthy drinks. Be it an amla, rose, or lemon juice in the mid-day, and during summer you can have it to beat the heat, they act as a cooling agent in summers.

The third drink which Rujuta suggested was a good quality cup cup of chai or coffee just as you like it. Be it with a teaspoon of sugar or milk or whatever. Remember, not to drink it in the morning or at the night, try to have it in afternoon.


Workout is something that you owe yourself- Rujata Diwekar

While speaking about workout and exercise, Rujuta said, "Workout is something that you owe yourself and you must work out irrespective of anything." And the same is with food, you should eat what you like.

Rujuta on diet said that, you should make sure after you wake up, you eat some fruits and nuts in the morning to give a good start to your day.
