Ganesh Chaturthi is the festival where Lord Ganesha arrives in our homes. This auspicious day has to be celebrated with utmost devotion in the right way. Know your Puja Vidhi, Mantras, and auspicious time. On this day if you are bringing home the Ganesha idol this is how you can do the Ganesh Murti Sthapana:
Ganesh Murti Sthapana Muhurat:
The Ganesha idol can be installed at home after 11:02 PM on August 21 and before 7:57 PM on August 22.
Ganesh Murti Sthapana Vidhi:
Cover the face of Lord Ganesha with a fresh cloth to veil him before the pran-prathishtha. Ganesha can be carried home on a chowpal. The idol must be placed facing the West or the East direction as it is considered auspicious. Decorations can be made accordingly.
Before you start the pooja one must take Sankalpa for this vrat. Invoke Lord Ganesh with the chants and do a pran-prathishtha pooja. Completion of Pran-pratishtha indicates that Lord Ganesha is among us. Then one can offer them water, incense, vastra, fruits, and bhog. Modaks and laddoos are the favorites of Ganpati Bappa. The pooja can be led by any family members but maintaining a clean and fresh mind and body is pivotal.
