Zee5’s Rejctx is a coming-of-age school drama which isn’t exactly normal and you have surely not seen something like this in real life schools. The story kicks off with an underground music event wherein the audience is waiting to see Rejctx perform. But, an unfortunate incident happens right before their act as one of the important crew members from Rejctx named Aarav becomes incognito and nobody knows as to where he disappeared.

Then, the makers travel back in time and we are introduced to the students; the vivid stories of each of these students and their plots are shown running parallel. The whole story revolves around one plot point i.e. Aarav’s disappearance.

Next, the show also delves deep into his life story; his love-hate relationship with Kiara, then Maddy, his happy-go-lucky friend who is a basketball player and also popular amongst girls, Harry and others. Now what forces these students to become Rejctx and who is responsible for Aarav’s disappearance is the main crux of the series.

The series stars Sumeet Vyas, who is the school principal; he tries really hard to portray himself as a strict principal but doesn’t come across as convincing enough. Kubbra Sait plays a mysterious woman who later turns out to be a counsellor; she fails to impress much. If we have to discuss performances of the students, then Aarav played by Ahmed Masi Wali, Kiara essayed by Anisha Victor and others are very far from reality, which means you won’t be able to relate with their characters. They come across as very pretentious. So barring Sumeet Vyas and Kubbra Sait, no one is worth mentioning.

Rejctx tries to position itself as a show which showcases the politics in college and the problems faced by adolescents in today’s times but unfortunately fall short of convincing the audience.

Our verdict for Zee5’s Rejctx is Blahworthy
