Thrillers are in and Amazon Prime Videos have caught this vibe. Eight thrilling action-packed Jason Blum’s films produced by Blumhouse Television and Amazon Studios are set to launch on the OTT under the brand new segment ‘Welcome to the Blumhouse’. 2020 will see the release of the first four films namely, The Lie by writer-director Veena Sud, Black Box directed by writer-director Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour Jr, Evil Eye from talented young directors Elan Dassani and Rajeev Dassani and Nocturne written and directed by filmmaker Zu Quirke. The rest of the spine-chilling thrillers will be launched in 2021.

The Lie
Veena Sud’s visual storytelling just gets better with the blen of Mireille Enos, Peter Sarsgaard, and Joey King. The film revolves around a teenaged girl who confesses to committing the murder of her best friend. This is a story of the extent to which parents can go to protect their children. Alix Madigan-Yorkin, Christopher Tricarico, and Jason Blum present this intriguing film that is based on a web of lies built by a family.
Black Box
Helmed by Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour Jr. Black Box stars Mamoudou Athie Phylicia Rashad, Amanda Christine, Tosin Morohunfola, Charmaine Bingwa, and Troy James. This is a story of a single father who loses his wife to an accident and heads on to an excruciatingly painful path in search of answers. Will he find answers or more questions?
Evil Eye
Madhuri Shekar’s audio story Evil Eye is directed by Elan and Rajeev Dassani starring Sarita Choudhury, Sunita Mani, Omar Maskati, and Bernard White. The film shifts gears from romance to horror in the blink of an eye. It explores the depths of family, love, relationships, and horror.
Nocturne
A mysterious notebook changes the fate of an underdog twin sister who suddenly starts getting the spotlight. But what is the price she pays? This is the intriguing plot of Zu Quirke’s thriller drama starring Sydney Sweeney, Madison Iseman, Jacques Colimon, and Ivan Shaw.
