Celebrities and famous personalities have been extending their support and contributing in whatever way they can in the fight against COVID-19. While Bollywood came forward with their generous donations in time of need to raise money for Coronavirus relief funds, the comedy fraternity came up with the most fun and the most millennial way to raise money! How, you ask? Comedian Tanmay Bhat live-streamed videos, playing PUBG and other online games with his fellow comedians such as Rohan Joshi, Kaneez Surka, Bhuvan Bam, Anuvab Pal, Varun Grover and Kusha Kapila.
On April 11 and 12, that is, the last weekend, Tanmay Bhat live-streamed for eight hours both days and managed to raise over 17 lakh rupees for charities fighting Coronavirus pandemic. All this, while simultaneously having a lot of fun with top comedians. The videos were a huge hit and have over 1.5 million views. Shared on Tanmay Bhat’s YouTube channel, he and Kaneez Surka were the hosts for the live-stream session. The comedians together performed different exciting activities too!
The comedians joined in from their own homes, and the live stream had a wide line-up of comedians, making it even more entertaining!
Tanmay Bhat told Mumbai Mirror, “The last time we did streams for charity, we raised Rs 3.5 lakh. It was for planting trees. This time, I think emotions were higher and our line-up was very wide.
