It was recently that the trailer of Saif Ali Khan and Dimple Kapadia starrer Tandav made it to the internet. Apart from the gripping story and stellar performances, an interesting bit caught the audience's attention. All of us got to see the interiors of the famous Pataudi Palace. Saif Ali Khan gave permission to the makers to shoot inside the Pataudi Palace and in his latest interview, he spoke about the same. He stated that he made an exception.
As reported by Mid-day, Saif Ali Khan shared that he does not mind giving his Pataudi palace for shoots, however, the thought makes him nervous. He was quoted saying, “I don’t mind giving it for shoots sometimes because it remains unused 340 days of the year. These days, film crews have become responsible and look after the venues, but [the idea of a shoot being conducted there] still makes me nervous. Usually, I am more comfortable if they are filming around the exterior of the palace. But for Tandav, I made an exception [by shooting inside]."
The actor also stated that the Pataudi Palace adds to the royal look. "I think it is the palace that lends us the royal look. Anyone standing there would look royal," he said.
Apart from Saif Ali Khan and Dimple Kapadia, we will also get to see Guauhar Khan, Sunil Grover, Zeeshan Ayyub, Kritika Kamra and others in this political drama which is produced by Himanshu Kishan Mehra and Ali Abbas Zafar and written by Gaurav Solanki. Saif essays the role of a crown prince named Samar Pratap Singh.
