It has become a national habit for Saif Ali Khan to get into trouble with his words and work. Just the other day some people were gunning for him for speaking of humanizing Ravan . Now Saif has got into trouble for something he has nothing directly to do with.
In his new webseries Tandav a scene involving actor Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub has certain sections infuriated.
Says a close friend of Saif and Kareena, "They are expecting a child any day. The last thing they need is this kind of tension. Security personnel standing outside your door is not the best way to welcome baby into your home."
Netizens have expressed huge disappointment and anger over certain scenes in the series. A politician has asked for a boycott of Tandav until actor Mohammed Ayyub Zeeshan apologizes to all Indians for allegedly "mocking a Hindu God". In the allegedly offensive sequence Zeeshan is seen dressed up as Lord Shiva during a stage performance and commenting that the number of Shiva Bhakts is increasing in the country by the day .
An angry twitter user wrote, “How many times Hindu sentiments will be hurt. Hindus are the most progressive people they don't shout on the road, they don't burn city they don't set houses and shops on fire. It doesn't mean they have no sentiment. So stop hurting Hindus #BanTandavNow”
Saif Ali Khan who plays a wily politicians in Tandav who poisons his own father to get the prime minister’s seat, is no stranger to controversies. Prior to Tandav his comments on “humanizing” Ravan in his forthcoming project Adipurish triggered off a nationwide outrage.
