Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Gauahar Khan, Kritika Kamra, Sunil Grover and others starrer Tandav has been embroiled in a controversy ever since it has released. The web series that aired on Amazon Prime Video called for trouble for the makers, as well as, the content head of the OTT platform. Several FIRs have been filed against the makers of the show for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of the viewers. Even though Ali Abbas Zafar, the director, extended an apology, an FIR got filed against the show in Mumbai today. Now, as per latest updates, Saif Ali Khan's name has also been attached to the FIR. 

As reported by Times Now, Saif's name has been added to the FIR filed against the show makers including the director and producer. The actor today reached Mumbai and reportedly, the police security around his and Kareena Kapoor Khan's house has been beefed up amidst the controversy. Earlier, reports had it that the Information & Broadcasting Ministry has sought answers from the makers of the show after several netizens objected to various scenes in the show.

Talking about Ali Abbas Zafar and team Tandav's apology, it mentioned that the show is a work of fiction and there was no intention to hurt anyone's sentiments. The apology also mentioned that changes will be implemented to the controversial scenes. "We have the utmost respect for the sentiments of the people of our country. We did not intend to hurt or offend the sentiments of any individual, caste, community, race, religion or religious beliefs or insult or outrage any instituion, political party or person, living or dead. The cast & crew of Tandav have made the decision to implement changes to the web series to address the concerns raised towards the same," it read.
