Rohit Roy, who is currently seen as Vardhan in Sanjivani will next be seen as a scam kingpin in Ullu App's upcoming series Paper.
A source revealed, "The web-series is about a young, educated boy from rural India, who came to maximum city in the early 90's with ambitious dreams and attained notoriety as the kingpin of a multi-crore counterfeit stamp paper scam. The makers have roped in Rohit Roy who will play the lead role in the series."
Speaking exclusively to SpotboyE.com, Rohit confirmed the buzz, "This is probably the most challenging role I have done till now because my character will turn from a teenager to almost 55 in the show. In 'Paper', I am playing the role of a small town coconut seller Abdul, who rises to become a powerful figure in the country. The ways he used to achieve success were not right, and via this web-series, we will tell people that the shortcut is not always the best cut."
'Paper' will be produced by Vibhu Agarwal and co-produced by Falguni Shah’s Dreamzz Images Studio and directed by Deepak Pandey.
Rohit Roy entered the web series zone after 25 years of his television debut, with the supernatural thriller ‘Memories’ directed by Vikram Bhatt.
Rohit who has been part of popular shows like Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, Kittie Party, Kkusum and Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has also acted in notable Bollywood movies such as Kaabil, Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena, Apartment and Plan among others.
