Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have constantly been hitting the headlines ever since they stepped down from the royal duties, even though they had been keeping a low profile. Recently, in an interview with James Corden, the host of the ‘Late Late Show’, Prince Harry clarified about his and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back from the royal life. He revealed that the British press was destroying his mental health, and so he got his family out of there. Prince Harry also shared his views about the Netflix series The Crown, and revealed why he prefers the show, over reading news about his family in the tabloids.
Prince Harry said that The Crown is not strictly accurate, but they don’t pretend to be news. “It’s fictional, but it’s loosely based on the truth. Of course, it’s not strictly accurate,” he said. He further added that the show gives a basic idea about the lifestyle. “It gives you a rough idea of what that lifestyle, what the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else, what can come from that. I’m way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing the stories written about my family, or my wife, or myself. It’s the difference between… that is obviously fiction, take it how you will, but this is being reported on as fact because you’re supposedly news. I have a real issue with that,” said Prince Harry.
Prince Harry was asked who he would like to see play him in The Crown, and Harry said it would be Damian Lewis.
Prince Harry is expecting his second child with Meghan Markle. While speaking to James Corden, he also revealed that he hadn’t ‘walked away’, rather it was ‘stepping back than stepping down’ from the royal duties.
