Netflix has been treating us with some content in teenage drama over the years and fans love it. Now, Netflix is back again with a super interesting saga titled Never Have I Ever which is all about a first-generation Indian-American. With the trailer dropped in recently, the teaser of Never Have I Ever leaves fans wanting to watch it.
Produced by actress Mindy Kaling, the show Never Have I Ever revolves around the story of an Indian-American teenager, named Devi Vishwakumar who wants to experience the best of the best during her school. Based on Mindy Kaling’s childhood in suburban Massachusetts, the series is set to give the audience and fans a glimpse of the actresses school life back in the days. As the role of Devi, the protagonist in the series Never Have I Ever is played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, the actress was finally selected after Kaling sifting through over 15,000 submissions.
With Maitreyi Ramakrishnan marking her TV debut in the series, the teaser of the series begins with the makers giving us a small glimpse of the interesting life of Devi Vishwakumar. The teaser begins with Dev saying, “Hey gods, its Devi Vishwakumar, your favorite Hindu girl in the San Fernando Valley,” as he prays religiously before the Hindu Shrine. Throughout the teaser, the viewer gets a sneak-peek of the drama that is involved in Devi’s life, and with her badass attitude, she wants to go to a party with alcohol and hard drugs so that someone could offer it and she can be polite and decline, all on the first day of her school.
Meanwhile, with Devi Vishwakumar’s normal life of an Indian-American teenager trying to make the best of it, have a boyfriend plus added fun, this Netflix series is all things awesome. With this relatable AF series coming up soon, Never Have I Ever is scheduled to release on Netflix on April 27.
