Naveen Kasturia has been a part of the OTT platform even before it became the big monster that it is today. He was a part of it when there were only a handful of streaming platforms in existence, with limited content and limited audience. Still, he was part of one the first successful web shows in India, TVF Pitchers that released back in 2015.

Since then, a lot has changed in the web scene in India. Multiple streaming platforms with unlimited content have started coming up and are still growing, and Pitchers has gained a cult status over this time. This year, Naveen repeated his success story with TVF in last month’s release Aspirants, which became a mammoth success.

Pitchers told the story about four guys aiming to build a start-up company and struck a chord with the audience. It has been six years since the show was released and ever since people have been asking for its season 2. Several speculations came up over this time but none came to fruition.

Earlier this year, TVF released a teaser of their upcoming line-up. In that, they teased Pitchers 2 by showing a glimpse of Pitchers at the very end. So, ask Naveen if Pitchers season 2 is happening and he responds, “Even I am teased by that teaser. In a live chat on social media, Arunabh Kumar has said that he has an idea for season 2 and I also hope that they make it,” he asserts.

Naveen insists that had Pitchers released today, it might have been a bigger success. “When Pitchers came six years ago, the audience was very selective. If it had been released today, it might have been a bigger success and more people would have watched it. I am getting messages for Pitchers now from people who are watching Aspirants, as they have discovered me through Aspirants and are now going back to Pitchers and Thinkistaan, and seeing them,” he concludes.
