Money Heist aka La Casa De Papel is one of the most loved Spanish shows, and it has captivated the audience all over the world with its well-written plot, superb twists and amazing casting. The show features strong female characters such as Lisbon, Tokyo, and others, and they play a very crucial role in the story. The fifth and final season of Money Heist will be divided into two volumes and is slated to be released on September 3 and December 3. The makers of the show recently sat down and talked about the show as well as the female characters in it.
Álex Pina, the executive producer of the show recently did a virtual set visit and meet, and talked about how the fans will see a lot more of female robbers in the fifth season. “Are they going to play a crucial role at certain times? I would say very, very crucial. And we’ve added a new twist involving women in this fifth season,” Pina said. He further talked about how the writers consciously gave equal weightage to the female characters.
He said, “I think we have always worked equally well with women and men. In that sense, we remain committed to giving women a leading role, as at other times, men also have a leading role. I don’t think it is more or less: it remains the same.”
