Pankaj Tripathi's Mirzapur 2 is set to release tomorrow on Amazon Prime. Ahead of its release, we spoke to the talented actor about his career, personal life and a lot more.
Pankaj is known for his effortless acting. But did you know he also improvises a lot during his scenes. Amidst our conversation, we asked the actor about his method of acting.
"Apne director ko main bol deta hun, ki bhai main kuch imporvise karunga, toh take khatam hone ke baad tumhari marzi. Tum usko mujhe mana karke waapas take karwa sakte ho, main lines hata duna, mera ego bilkul hurt nahi hoga. Main bilkul director ka actor hun. Woh chaahe sensible ho ya nahi, aapko nahi aacha lag raha toh hata sakte ho. Aap mujhe freely bol sakte ho ki yeh mat karo, main nahi karunga doosre take mein," said Pankaj. The actor further added that what sort of improvistaions does he prefer doing during his scenes. "Most of my improvisations are satirical. Social commentary add kar deta hun jiska purpose scene ko enhance karne ke saath saath, darshako ke liye ek social message bhi ho. Mirzapur 2 mein bhi maine 2 jagah aaiasa kiya hai and my directors really liked it and asked me to retain it," said Pankaj Tripathi.
