While the fans have been eagerly waiting to see the next chapter of thief Assane Diop’s (Omar Sy) life, given that the first part of the series which had only five episodes ended on a massive cliffhanger, with Assane’s son, Raoul, being kidnapped by Hubert Pellegrini. Netflix recently dropped the trailer of Lupin Season 2 and also announced the release date of the series. As per the action-packed trailer, the heist series will stream on 11th June this year.
Lupin part one the French heist drama was directed by Louis Leterrier and Marcela Said and was a huge success on Netflix. Apparently, it was watched by more than 70 million in its first 28 days on the platform. The action-packed mystery thriller heist journey of Omar was a binge-worthy series with only five episodes.
Like the first part, Lupin Part 2, will also have five episodes, and the story will pick up from where the first part ended. Assane (Omar) quest for revenge against Hubert Pelligrini, will continue. The trailer itself has built up the excitement for the upcoming episodes. The second series is also filled with some action-packed scenes which is certainly a big draw towards the show. The second part of the series is directed by Ludovic Bernard and Hugo Gélin and is produced by Isabelle Degeorges and Nathan Franck for Gaumont Television.
