Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is a biopic. The actress announced the film by writing, “Proud to bring to you the story of India’s first woman Air Force Officer to go to war. A journey that I hope will inspire you the way that it has inspired me. Gunjan Saxena - The Kargil Girl is landing on 12th August to your #Netflix screens!”
As the actress is excited to release the film, the film is receiving some severe backlash from netizens and Janhvi feels that she is confident about the film and sees no reason why they have to be apologetic about it. While speaking to Hindustan Times, she was quoted saying, “The sentiment has been fuelled and amplified in the last month. I hope it’s not something that I have to deal with every release. I know I’m confident of what I’ve done, and I’m confident of the film and the story… I don’t think there’s any reason for us to be apologetic for what we’ve done.”
