Day 2 of 21-day lockdown just got exciting and Netflix is all set to take you back in time. All the avid viewers of OTT platform content, have something new on the plate. Hitting Netflix on March 25, is Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution, backed by Obama’s production banner, Higher Ground, and we can say it is worth a watch. It is a documentary based on the movement that led to the formation of an act in the United States termed as Americans With Disabilities Act. This documentary had already garnered cheers in January at Sundance film festival.
This Netflix documentary aimed at showcasing lives of disabled individuals in the society who also want to enjoy equal rights in the society. Taking us back in era of 1950 to almost 1970, this documentary is an amalgamation of interviews, archival footages, only showcasing the struggles of the disabled individuals. The documentary also showcased disabled in their teens enjoying in camp just like normal individuals who are playing guitars, smoking, playing games and even experiencing those puppy love phases in their life.
The documentary had opened to a packed house during the Sundance film festival.
