The winners of the Creative Arts Emmy’s were recently announced which included Leaving Neverland, The Simpsons, Queer Eye, and James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke were among a few. According to Emmy’s official website, a total of 44 nominees across 11 categories and 21 countries have been selected this year. As the excitement is at its peak, Netflix’s fan-favorite show Sacred Games Season 2 has been nominated for the Best Drama Series Award. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and Anurag Kashyap, the series has received an International Emmy Award nomination for Best Drama Series which stars Saif Ali Khan as Sartaj Singh and, Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Ganesh Gaitonde in pivotal roles. As Vikramaditya Motwane is the showrunner of the series, the lead writer of the series is Varun Grover. Similarly, the other nominees in the category are 1 Contra Todos Season 3 (Brazil), Bad Banks (Germany) and McMafia (UK). The director of Sacred Games, Anurag Kashyap also took to his Instagram to share his excitement on the nomination.
The International Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on November 25 in New York City.
